Ode to basketball
By Kenneth Benn To the game- basketball oh basketball the game I love. You let me fly across the sky high above. I bounce the rock there and there try to get past everyone I can I pass the to a teammate set a screen. Am a steel door now after the pick a pop out to paint call for the ball but am not open. But we must score I run up, take the rock light in my hands and pass it. I slide here and here then run straight to the three point line catch the rock. And let it fly high in the air times stops, the ball spins just at the buzzz. SWOOSH the rock gos in the game was won and the job was done. Basketball oh basketball the game I love in please once more take me above. Gus oh Gus how I love you your cute little underbite how you always have your tongue out I love so much and your little crossed eyes are so beautiful and when I look into them I see a beautiful ocean
Performance Task - Unit 2
7th Grade Honors ELA Shadow Ridge Middle School Kenneth Benn To eat or not to eat: Orange peels The orange peel, the rough outside of the fruit, all almost a jacket. We treasure Oranges. A fruit to go with breakfast or a snack at lunch. No matter the circumstance when you need it, it's sitting there. Some may ask themselves can I consume the peel? Well, yes. You can. The peel contains fiber, vitamin c, folate, vitamin B6, calcium, and more. Furthermore, 50% of the health benefits that you get from the orange are in the skin. Many cooks use it to pack a punch of aroma as it can be tasty. Regardless, they're still not as sweet or juicy as the pulp. And other disadvantages are that they are very tough and may be hard to swallow. They can also be coated with chemicals from factories. So it's recommended to consume organic oranges. So if you ever need a quick snack or a buddy ask the question you had. Remember orange peels are healthy and delicious. |
